All information posted in this thread is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Some members may be happy to assist with a specific lockpicking challenge if contacted via PM please ask for help/advice in the thread first though.Don't post pics of keys/locks that are in service lock type, bitting (key/lock/pin coding) and other relevant information can often be easily determined from such photos.Discussions about bricks through windows, guns/gun-related stuff and other "physical security" topics don't belong here, except where they are directly related e.g. This thread is about the tools and techniques that may be used to compromise mechanical locks, and related subjects. Yes, we all know that "nothing is really secure".If you choose to bend the first two rules, any consequences are on your own head. Don't try to open a lock that is in use/service except as a last resort.ģ. Don't try to open a lock that you do not own by any unlawful means.Ģ. Any and all newb advice gratefully accepted.ġ. Since I've just placed the order, I thought I'd start a new "Official Lock Stuff" thread for some useful chitchat while waiting for me bits'n'pieces to arrive. A search reveals that all previous "hey do you pick locks" threads are long-dead (nice to see that I'm following in the footsteps of an OCAU legend though.)
